Hold monthly 1:1s with each team member that strike the balance between the needs of the organization (objectives, goals, KPIs) and the needs of the individual. This will help you understand what each individual needs to be motivated, happy, and perform at their best.
You can then give it to them – or manage their expectations when you can’t.
